Beatles Are Just Puppets For Georgia Ventriloquist

NORCROSS, Ga. (Wireless Flash) – The Beatles are just puppets to a ventriloquist in Norcross, Georgia. Bob Abdou is the world’s only Beatles ventriloquist and spends many a hard day’s night performing with puppet versions of John, Paul, George and Ringo at Beatles conventions. Abdou – who prefers to be called “Mr. Puppet” – says he impersonates each Beatle but doesn’t do them all at the same time because after a while, “...they all sound the same.” Although Mr. Puppet’s Beatles performs oldies like “No No Song,” and “Blue Suede Shoes,” the puppet pop group isn’t stuck in the past. These days, the Paul McCartney puppet sings the Sept. 11 anthem “Freedom” and his George Harrison doll delivers an anti- smoking message.
