Punk Bands Scream Their Way Through Killer Queen Songs

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash) – There’s a new Queen tribute record in stores – but this time, it’s all hardcore punk bands straining their vocal chords through the best of Freddie Mercury. So, how does Queen sound paired up against bands that spend their stage time screaming themselves hoarse? If you ask Jordan Blilie from Seattle’s Blood Brothers, it’s not even worth remembering. Blilie, in classic punk fashion, says his band learned Queen’s “Under Pressure,” played it once in the studio and haven’t played it since. In fact, he says people ask them to play it live and he has to admit the band doesn’t even remember the chords.
