TENNESSEE TOWN HOSTS GIANT EGG FIGHT

PETERS HOLLOW, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) -- Easter Sunday will be an "eggsciting" time for the tiny town of Peters Hollow, Tennessee. Locals there will be duking it out in the town's 173rd Annual Egg Fight to see whose chickens lay the hardest eggs. Spokesman Norman Peters says about 70 dozen eggs will be boiled and colored for the fight. Contestants must then tap their eggs on their opponent's shell, and the first egg to crack loses. Although most contestants use store-bought eggs, Peters says some contenders prefer to raise their own and feed their chickens oyster shells in the hopes of making unbreakable eggs.
