Crop Circle Researcher Suspicious Of Disney

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Wireless Flash) – A contest promoting Mel Gibson’s upcoming flick, Signs, has crop circle experts seeing signs of a problem. The movie’s website is sponsoring a contest that will award one winner a visit to what a Touchstone Studios press release claims will be one of “280-300 [crop circles] expected” this year. That prediction makes crop circle researcher Paul Anderson suspicious – especially since sightings are down 50 percent from last year. He worries the public might be thrown for a loop if fake crop circles crop up around August 2, when Signs lands in theaters. A Touchstone Studios spokeswoman insists the company isn’t faking crop circles and claims the estimate is an annual average. However, Anderson says if the number of crop circles dramatically increases during the coming weeks, chances are, they came from the Mouse, not Mars.
