Spam-Haters Can Still Eat High On The Hog At Spam Festival

AUSTIN, Minn. (Wireless Flash) – Folks who hate Spam won’t be left out at an upcoming festival celebrating the mystery meat. Austin, Minnesota’s Spam Museum is hosting its grand opening on the weekend of June 15-16 and there will be plenty of Spam-based treats like Spam pizza, Spamburgers and Spam stroganoff. However, event spokesperson Julie Craven admits that because there are some folks who like Spam just because it’s a silly pop-culture reference and not because it’s tasty, there will be an area of the event that features traditional fair food like corndogs, pizza and cotton candy. Other festivities will include presentations by Tom Brokaw, TV moms Marion Ross and Barbara Billingsley and music by Booker T. and the MGs.
