Picture Server - have fun :-)

Well you can't say we dont give you everything here! One of my visitors, quartz, has set up this shoe piccie posting server for you.(Note from Firefox:Since this was written, the original x-drive has become a pay version, but Joak has kinldy set up this other account at idrive. Some of the original comments are from quartz and may not be exactly applicable, but the main things hold true for the new space as well).

"I did not get much of a response regarding my offer to be the caretaker of a ftp-like picture storage location, but because Jenny gave the idea a thumbs up I have gone ahead and put it together for us. Here is how you use it:

1. Connect to http://www.idrive.com/

2. Type "joak_hh" in the login window (do not use the double quotes).

3. Type "highheels" in the password window, again do not include the quotes.

If you have pictures to share, you can make a new folder with your own name and upload files into it using the upload icon. it took me a little practice to get the order of clicking, highlighting, etc to get the pictures where they belong, but you'll figure it out.

I have activated this site for the general benefit of everybody here, and I'm asking everyone to keep their uploads on-topic. I would prefer not to see any porn or pirated software, etc... on there.

Also, there is absolutely no file protection on that directory, so everybody using it will be able to add to or delete from any files that are on there regardless of who "owns" them. I am tolerant of a certain amount of anarchy on the internet, and this will be an interesting experiment for me."
