It's time for my tea! I need the canteen! --Simon Simple, in "Malice in Blunderland" |
Wednesday, January 5, 2000 A Note and a Link I need to go to sleep. Briefly, then, I haven't done very much. I haven't cleaned my room, I haven't gotten started on that American Studies Web site, and I haven't even gotten enough food or rest. No, I'm not sure how I've manged it, either. I have finished Curse of Monkey Island at least, so there's that. And I've been given links to a couple of comic strip sites, which are nice to have, although they wouldn't have helped in my quest a few days ago, as they're delayed by about a week. I'd include the URLs here, but that would require looking through my mail, and right now I just want to finish this and upload it already. Maybe next time, then. Either way, thanks, Laura and Nicky! In other news, two out of four grades are in. In both History 143: History of the Indian Subcontinent, and English 304: Poetry Workshop, I got an A-. All things considered, I am quite happy with this. Oh, and I'm in the middle of yet another attempt at getting Linux up and running on my system, but I don't have much to report just now. The basic system is in place. Finally, I've begun getting back to writing the long-promised entries from mid-August. The first in the series is here, but it's just background. Those to follow will be the fun ones. (Those using graphical browsers will notice a different background color on that entry. This is not a preview of the upcoming redesign; rather, it's part of my solution to the problem of how to handle entries dealing with the events of almost five months ago. Earlier this year, this might not have been an issue, but I've stopped writing entries retroactively, in general.)
