And on and on till silence comes.
Paul whispers, "That's the tune Mom hums!"
Phil's eyes are closed, but Paul is smiling,
Floating on a slow tide of Brahms,
Back in his absent mother's arms.

This One's Short

I got to sleep at 11:30 PM last night.

And woke up at 2:30 AM.

Went to class, went to the paper, spoke to somebody from the University's student government, got my readings for the next class, started writing a book review, went back home, called back a potential employer, rather foolishly set an interview for noon tomorrow, opened the book review file, and suddenly realized that I was no longer capable of being coherent.

Dearly wanted to just go to sleep and let the chips fall where they might, but had an engagement party at 7 PM in Brooklyn. Took a nap from 4:15 until 6:00 or so. Got up, kinda, checked mail, looked over map, discovered that the trip would be a lot more convoluted than expected.

Brother called. Brother has car. Asked brother if he wanted to go to engagement party. Brother didn't want to get dressed up, but was okay with schlepping all the way out to where I was, then schlepping out to Brooklyn, waiting in car for a bit, then bringing me back.

Have I mentioned that I have some great siblings?

Anyway, that's where I currently am. I have more to write about what's been going on, but I am not remotely up to it now. Next time, I hope.
