That's what friends are for... |
Tuesday, March 7, 2000 Still Backlogged... and More Responses! Still digging my way out from under my backlog, and still exhausted most of the time. ("Yesterday's" entry is being posted at the same time as this one. Except for the "commercial" answer, it was done earlier, though...) Anyway, my essay on Roxana came back with an A-, which is what I'd thought it deserved myself, so that much is good. The professor scribbled a bunch of notes down pinpointing where it needs improvement, and I pretty much agree across the boards. Otherwise... I've got acting homework to do, and a Geology test next Monday to start getting ready for, and a couple of articles to write (two reviews; one for Clean Sheets, one for the college paper), and, oh, I forget the rest of the list, but it's fairly long. And I'm actually getting things under control now. I think it's only when my schedule gets derailed that I become fully aware of how many committments I have. But you're likely tired of hearing me complain about that by now...
The good news is that responses to my survey have been rolling in, with four being posted even before I got my answers up. Two answered the entire thing; two confined themselves to the commercial. Specifically, Al Schroeder and my long-lost Texan sister answered the whole thing, while Monique and Iain did the commercial. Thanks, guys! Read them all. They're all good in different ways, and all worth checking out. Al, incidentally, set up a forum -- linked to at the bottom of his entry -- to discuss the Hitler infanticide question, which you might want to check out. And Monique's Old Navy / Tampax commercial is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. Anyway. I'd better get to sleep, I think, so I can do my homework before class tomorrow, and so on, and so forth. G'night, all.
