Four be the things I am wiser to know:
Idleness, sorrow, a friend, and a foe.

The Weekend

Not much happened over the weekend. I've been catching up on my sleep again, although I think I killed whatever gains I made over Saturday by staying up much of Sunday night. Oh, well.

I spent too much time today arguing over what it means to be a friend, over on Journals-L. It was a messy discussion to begin with, sparked by a few people coming into the same area with utterly different assumptions and definitions of such terms as "journal," "disclaimer," and "friend," and trying to have a discussion anyway. Not a very good idea, on the whole.

Otherwise, I flipped through much of Savage Love, by Dan Savage, which was occasionally interesting or amusing, but more often just annoying. Savage has a bit of an attitude, and it gets wearing pretty quickly.

His segment on This American Life this week, about his embarassment in talking to family members about sex, was much better.

And that's it. I'm caught up now. And I'm going to sleep. I'll try to do better this week.
