Giles: Because it's a killer snot-monster from outer space. |
Thursday, December 14, 2000 Quick Update Okay, quick update time: I did, in fact, get an extension -- or, rather, an "incomplete" -- in my painting course. This is a Very Good Thing, 'cause I have a lot of work to make up. The only downside is that, well, I'm gonna have to be sure to make it up over Winter Break. At the same time, I also have to do all the writing on provocative language that I was supposed to have been doing this semester, as I'm getting an incomplete there, too. Fortunately, that's coming along. Well, nothing else on paper, other than a one-page synopsis of stuff to be covered on my next essay, but I've been doing some more reading, and my thoughts have been fermenting, and so on. Otherwise, my comedy class final is Monday, the Mellon Fellowship application deadline is Tuesday, and my drama class final is Thursday. Yay!
In related news, a friend saw my last entry and immediately sent me a copy of that book I needed for my project. Which I'm not going to name again in this entry, mostly because I'm not quite awake enough to do so without accidentally ending up with a double entendre. After sending off a message to my notify list saying that "the 'Cunt' situation is well in hand," without realizing how that would come across, I obviously can't be trusted. Except that I guess I just named it anyway. Oops.
The phone bill and rent. Borrowed 'em from my parents again. I'm gonna pay it all back when and if my financial aid comes in, but I'm running up quite a tab just now. Speaking of financial aid, my bill for next semester came in, and they're not actually charging me for next semester, as it's my last one. Which would be lovely, and entitle me to enough Pell Grant money to solve all my short-term financial problems, were it not for the fact that the bill is mistaken. As I'm officially a transfer student, I'm not entitled to get my last semester free. Which means I need to iron this out now. God really does have a sense of humor.
Tired. This'll do for now.
